As part of Leeds City Council's Inclusive Growth Strategy, our Employment and Skills Service will deliver four large careers events during 2024.

These events will bring together relevant leading businesses and training providers from across the city, allowing residents the opportunity to engage and discuss opportunities.

All our events are free for visitors to attend and will take place at the first direct arena.

Leeds Digital Careers Fair

Leeds Digital Careers Fair is an annual event taking place in September. The event is aimed at a wide range of visitors and especially focused on those who are new to a career in the digital. LDCF offers visitors the chance to:
•   Find out more about digital and tech careers in Leeds
•   Speak to a range of training providers who offer digital courses including t-levels, apprenticeships, bootcamps and degree courses
•   Meet a wide range of digital employers showcasing diverse digital employment opportunities available across the city
•   Attend interesting speaker and interactive sessions and learn about digital careers and pathways

Leeds Creative Skills Festival

The Leeds Creative Skills Festival offers visitors the chance to find out about the exciting opportunities in the creative and cultural sector. Visitors will be able to speak to a range of training providers, colleges and universities who offer creative courses, talk to employers and attend interesting speaker sessions and learn about creative careers, skills and pathways.

Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair

Our Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair is firmly established as the largest apprenticeship recruitment fair in the north of England. Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair kickstarts a series of events to celebrate National Apprenticeship week in Leeds.

Over 11,000 visitors attended LARF24, engaging with over 120 exhibitors, which took place on Monday 5 February 2024 at Leeds first direct arena.

SEND Next Choices - Getting ready for adult life

SEND Next Choices – Getting ready for adult life is an event offering support to young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (and their parents, carers, support workers and teachers) as they move into adult life. Visitors can speak with over 60 exhibitors to find out more about employment, training, education, support services and leisure activities available in Leeds. The event is held at Leeds first direct arena annually in June.

Discovering Apprenticeships Presentations to parents, carers and young people

The Discovering Apprenticeship presentations are a series of informative sessions aimed at parents, carers, and young people to provide insights into apprenticeships. These presentations are scheduled to take place on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of December 2024, from 6 – 8pm at Leeds Beckett University Lecture Theatres, Rose Bowl Building, Portland Crescent, Leeds LS1 3HB
