We will look at employment and skills needs linked to the green economy, ensuring that skills in green areas are clearly defined and targeted.

We will utilise our devolved skills funding and programmes to support employers to connect with the region’s top talent and support individuals to progress into and in good work.

Through creating 1,000 well-paid, skilled jobs for young people that pay the real living wage, are above level 3 and full time for at least 12 months, we will drive improved working conditions.

We will develop a Green Jobs Gateway proposal that will look at equality and sustainability.

We will create an action plan in 2023 to co-ordinate and progress the Green Jobs Taskforce, which brings together those from business, education, third sector and government.

We will utilise programmes such as Skills for Growth which enables SMEs to connect with the region's top talent.
