Have you heard about the Leeds Careers Charter?
The Leeds Careers Charter is a commitment by the city to raise the bar on advice, guidance and inspiration about careers for young people.
The charter helps young people by:
- Highlighting the full range of different jobs and careers available
- Helping them to develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours they need for work
- Ensuring a positive transition from education to employment
Leeds Employment Hub
If you are working with young people aged 15-24 who are at risk of becoming or are NEET (not in education, employment or training), we can help. We work with young people to help them explore education, employment and training opportunities.
Our Apprenticeship offer to schools and colleges
We work in most high schools and colleges across the city to provide information about and promote apprenticeships. Our work includes:
- Supporting careers events
- Delivering assembly talks
- Supporting parent’s evenings
- Providing targeted information sessions
Every year we host the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair (LARF). The fair brings employers and students together to talk about apprenticeships.
Family Learning Programmes in Schools
Our family learning programmes are for families that may need extra learning at home.
It provides activities, techniques and games to practice with children during the course of a regular day. If you believe there are families you are in contact with that would benefit from our family learning programme.
Business Ambassadors
We have many organisations throughout Leeds who are keen to engage with schools. Please get in touch to let us know if you would like more information and we can arrange an introduction.
Our services
We are constantly working with new education providers, community centres, careers advisors and teachers. Please contact us, if you want us to provide services to your organisation.
