Women's Work Report Launch

A report by the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES) in partnership with the Women's Budget Group and Leeds City Council, looking at what we could achieve if we put the needs and potential of women at the heart of our decision-making processes, has been published. Launched at an event by the Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, the report has been informed by women in Leeds and includes research to deepen our understanding of the gender inequality challenges and barriers that women face. For example, it finds that on average, women in Leeds earn £10,000 less per year than men. From this, the paper provides an agenda for change for gender inclusion with recommendations for local and national government.
